2 Timothy 3:16-17 (ESV)

           16

All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness,

that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.

A few pearls to lead your reflection

            C.H. Spurgeon says the expression

"fear of the Lord" is used in Scripture for all true godliness. It is constantly the short way of expressing real faith, hope, love, holiness of living, and every grace which makes up true godliness

           .

There are key lessons we can learn from Abraham.

He was a friend of God. (James 2:21-23).

We can see this when God was on his way to Sodom and Gommorah and questioned whether he should hide His plans from his frined.

And the Lord said, "Shall I hide from Abraham that thing which I do;"

            (Genesis 18:17)

Abraham became a friend of God because he had the fear of the Lord.

           Psalms 25

           12

Who is the man who fears the LORD?He will instruct him in the path chosen for him.

           13

His soul will dwell in prosperity, and his descendants will inherit the land.

           14

The LORD confides in those who fear Him,and reveals His covenant to them.

           2. It takes faith. (Hevrews 11:1-3)

Abraham exercised faith in God that consisted of his obedience and trust in the Lord. Can you imagine giving away your most prized possession, knowing that it is highly likely you will not see it again? Isaac was going to die. He was reduced from being a blessing from God to his parents down to a scarifice, an aminal! can you imagine that? As a mom would you agree for your only child whom you received from the Lord just die as a sacrifice? A child that you birthed at an old age and knowing you have a womb that would not autimatically take in?Abraham did without hesitation. He simply said, "The Lord will provide." (Genesis 22:8)Its worth thinking that the sacrifice had already happened in the spirit realm. Think about it, by the time you are doing something, a decision was made in your mind, which means you ushered it in through your priesthood from your spiritual realm to earth.

           2. Build your capacity in faith through the Holy Spirit to receive the fear of the Lord. (Hebrews 11:6)

Fear of the lord is greater than a blessing. It takes you to realms where you shall walk with God because He trusts you. The blessings are a plus- riches , prosperity, wealth etc Think about it. You can be a friend of God

           3. Fear of the Lord will make you not ask question or question God but draw to Him. (James 4:8)

This gives you room to create the opening to encounter God from a mind of the unknown but with a spirit of conviction. Your conviction in Christ compels Him to reveal Himself to you birthing your encounter and the new name of God. Here it is, Yaweh Yireh. What name of God and encounter await you?

Some key pointers from C. H Spurgeon

The fear of the Lord doesnt create bondage.

Do not be afraid of God.

The fear of the Lord is like that of a well-ordered, well-disciplined, beloved child has of his own father. Of awe, admiration, profound conviction that his father is good, kind, wise, and could not do anything, or ask him to do anything, which would not promote his own good.

DO YOU HAVE THE FEAR OF THE LORD?

What kind of fear of God do you have?

Is it good fear or bad fear?

           Do you exercise it daily?

Does it yield an evidence of the presence of God in your life?

Is it evident for all to see?

We seem to have our own perceptions about this fear of the Lord and make adjustments of it to suit our living.

I have come to learn and hopefully you will as well that it is a set standard of God provided by the Holy Spirit. You either have it or you don't. There is no in-between as we often like to place the teenets of Christ.

It comes from the Holy Spirit .

           It is supernatural.

           It is eternal.

It is based on your revelation of the Lord.

It goes hand in hand with wisdom, understanding, discipline and the knowledege of God.

It yields mighty results of peace, longevity, prosperity, riches, blessings that are even transferred to your generation.

It cancels the fear of men. Their opinion of YOU is no greater to God's opinion of YOU.It requires humility and obedience which arethe qualities of a student of the Holy Spirit.

The best example of a man who exercised the fear of the Lord is Jesus Christ Himself while he dwelt on earth.

Daniel also displays the fear of the Lord very well in the idolatrous sinful world, similar to what we are currently in.

This kind of fear allows God to trust you and make a covenant with you. This is the key to becoming a friend of God.

Having this kind of fear makes you appreciate the price that Jesus Christ paid for your life and so you will make a very intentional decision to seek and live in righteousness. You will make an effort to kill your flesh and inequities with the help of the Holy Spirit.

All we have to do is obey the word of God which comes by listening, pray to seek insight and understanding and seek it through the word as it is hidden treasure that is a key to enjoying the blessings of the kingdom of heaven.

Keys: obedience, prayer for insight, understanding and study of the Word of God.

It is so important in your daily living, it sets you apart from those rooted in the world and transforms you to be more like Christ, the hope of Glory that lives inside of you.

Praying for the Body Of Christ as a watcher- the prayer of Daniel

a call to the spiritual realm of intercession- becoming a watcher

There are three types of watchers in the word of God- Jesus Christ, the angels and human watchers.

           Lets focus on Human watchers.

Human watchers take the role of intercession in prayer. They spiritually look out for the body of Christ, spiritual systems and stand in the gap in prayer and warfare when necessary.

This means you have to be spiritually observant and discerning. The Holy Spirit usually sheds light in this area. He opens our spiritual eyes and ears. Your role is to be alert to recieve His message.

There are specific assigned ordinances from God, of watchers in the body of Christ. However, as we are ordained priests (1 Peter 2:9) by God, we all have mini roles to intercede for our loved ones and the body of Christ. (1 Timothy 2:1)

You may be engaging in intercessory prayers for your loved ones or people you know. Christ has charged us to expand this role and take it a level higher

We many not know what prayer to exactly say but Daniel's prayer is a start.

AS you get stronger in faith and deeper in prayers of intercession the Holy Spirit shall reveal more prayers from the word to use to intercede for the body of Christ, community, society, nation, cities and even the world.

           Daniel 9:4-19 New Living Translation

4 I prayed to the Lord my God and confessed:

“O Lord, you are a great and awesome God! You always fulfill your covenant and keep your promises of unfailing love to those who love you and obey your commands. 5 But we have sinned and done wrong. We have rebelled against you and scorned your commands and regulations. 6 We have refused to listen to your servants the prophets, who spoke on your authority to our kings and princes and ancestors and to all the people of the land.

7 “Lord, you are in the right; but as you see, our faces are covered with shame. This is true of all of us, including the people of Judah and Jerusalem and all Israel, scattered near and far, wherever you have driven us because of our disloyalty to you. 8 O Lord, we and our kings, princes, and ancestors

are covered with shame because we have sinned against you. 9 But the Lord our God is merciful and forgiving, even though we have rebelled against him. 10 We have not obeyed the Lord our God, for we have not followed the instructions he gave us through his servants the prophets. 11 All Israel has disobeyed your instruction and turned away, refusing to listen to your voice.

“So now the solemn curses and judgments written in the Law of Moses, the servant of God, have been poured down on us because of our sin. 12 You have kept your word and done to us and our rulers exactly as you warned. Never has there been such a disaster as happened in Jerusalem. 13 Every curse written against us in the Law of Moses has come true. Yet we have refused to seek mercy from the Lord our God by turning from our sins and recognizing his truth. 14 Therefore, the Lord has brought upon us the disaster he prepared. The Lord our God was right to do all of these things, for we did not obey him.

15 “O Lord our God, you brought lasting honor to your name by rescuing your people from Egypt in a great display of power. But we have sinned and are full of wickedness. 16 In view of all your faithful mercies, Lord, please turn your furious anger away from your city Jerusalem, your holy mountain. All the neighboring nations mock Jerusalem and your people because of our sins and the sins of our ancestors.

17 “O our God, hear your servant’s prayer! Listen as I plead. For your own sake, Lord, smile again on your desolate sanctuary.

18 “O my God, lean down and listen to me. Open your eyes and see our despair. See how your city—the city that bears your name—lies in ruins. We make this plea, not because we deserve help, but because of your mercy.

19 “O Lord, hear. O Lord, forgive. O Lord, listen and act! For your own sake, do not delay, O my God, for your people and your city bear your name.”

           In the beginning, God

Have you ever seen a potter mould his clay? He creates a vessel based on a design which he has thought through for some time. It starts with an idea in his mind and he thinks through it before he starts to play with the clay and ould out the design. The idea stemmed from nothing, the potter then thinks of how the pot will look like, the intricate details of the pot, the curvature, holes, handles. Any imperfection is removed. He stops when he sees the finished product is very good.

We have our very own potter Abba Father, who moulded us from the dust of the earth. Genesis 2:7 says "and the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul. God took His time and effort and made you, yes you in perfection. He knows you better than anyone, even your closest friend, partner or family. He knows every part if you, your strength and weakness, your acquired imperfections and the intricate details of every desire you have. He knows you very well. your life started with Him and it shall end with Him. You have an opportunity to manifest this in every aspect of your life. You spiritual life is not parallel to your personal life. God should be in evrything you do. His presence allows you to follow your destined path to prosperity. All God wants for you to is to succeed through Christ Jesus because He is the life of evrythinh that is great and perfect. All things were made and

came into existence through Him; and without Him was not even one thing made that has come into being. (John 1:3). Jesus knows the origin of your destiny. He has the blue print of your life. Only He can alter your destiny. Whatever mountain has presented in your way- be it infirmity, disease, delay, stagnation, debt, chaod, adversaries, spiritual attacks and principalities, God shall uproot Himself because in the beginning you were perfect and He said it was very good(Genesis 1:26-31). Don't settle for imperfection, run to God and invoke the blood of Christ that will make you brand new, perfect and restored to the glory God once held you. Make Jesus your ALPHA OMEGA.

How many times have you heard, dont bother, just walk away, it should not be this hard, why hold on, there's no hope, this one is hard, it is impossible! well this may be very true but only in the eyes of man. Nothing is hard for God. Look what He did to the Shunamite woman. He blessed her with a child! Do you recall Sarah laughed when God told her she would have a child at the set time. In the eyes of man, she was righ to laugh but God is that Spirit! You must have faith in order to manifest God in your situation. Not only can He do it but He can rebuild, restore, establish, bless divinely and correct permanently. Instead of turning to man, turn to Jesus and ask the Holy Spirit to comfort you as you wait on God. The set time is now to manifest the will of God upon your life. The stumbling block that hinders this shall be removed by God Himself. Allow him to manifest His glory in your life so you are a sign and wonder for the territory to see who God is. It is time you add your name to the list of those who experienced this pesonally. Reflect on Sarah, Hannah, Esther, Jospeh, the Shunamite woman, the widow who only had oil, blind Bartmaeus, the leper at the pool of Bethesda, Jairus's daughter, dead Lazarus, the woman with the isue of blood, Soul of Tarsus, the man in Gadara and so many more. Go on add your name to the list! be blessed.

           Forget the former things

Have you ever been round a mountain too long to the point God actively removes it for you? I know I have and the feeling is vague. It is definitely a relief, the burden is lifted! Praise God- It's because of him the load is lifted. So what next?

We get used to an environment of adversity that its so weird to accept the new atmosphere of peace and victory. Did our flesh acclimatise? Did we get comfortable? Did we give up? Now that is over should i be worried if the mountain returns? Should i be prepared? How long shall this season last?

I know, i know , so many questions but take heart and remember His words to you:

           Isaiah 43:18-21

Do not remember the former things,
Nor consider the things of old.

Behold, I will do a new thing,
Now it shall spring forth;
Shall you not know it?
I will even make a road in the wilderness
And rivers in the desert.

          https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Isaiah%2043%3A18-21&version=NKJV

This is how loving God is. We must know that He has great plans for us and none that are evil.

Facing adversity is part of life. Jesus went through it so we will not be any exception. However it is not a norm. The world has seasons and so does the spiritual realm. In adversity we learn a few lessons, expose our iniquities and humble ourselves before God to admit and accept that we are totally dependent on Him. We can live this life on our own. Jesus is our rock and when we build our life on Him and his teachings, no type of weather can bring us down. (Mathew 7:24-26)

This means as we move past the mountain, our eyes have a new vision and focus. We must engage in the word and rely on the Holy Spirit for guidance and direction in order to fulfill God's will. (Psalm 119:105)

What happens next? Hear from God, He shall surely speak to you. Build your spirit in prayer, praise and the word. For now, embrace the excellence of His glory! Remember He removed the mountain you declared and it was thrown into the sea!

           Be blessed.
